Ex-Miss USA Rima Fakih accused of DUI

Former Miss USA Rima Fakih was arrested last weekend for drunk driving. Drivers who decide to drive while intoxicated are not only breaking the law, but they are also placing innocent drivers and pedestrians at risk for grave personal injuries and death. There are many people in Nashville who have been maimed by irresponsible drivers who have gotten behind the wheel after drinking. Personal injury attorneys are uniquely situated to hold these drunk drivers responsible for their irresponsible actions.

An experienced Nashville drunk driving attorney can hold irresponsible motorists accountable for their actions by filing negligence and wrongful death actions. Both of these types of lawsuits can help compensate a victim or a victim's family for medical expenses, emotional distress, lost income, and a variety of other expenses associated with a car accident.

A diligent personal injury attorney will thoroughly investigate a drunk driving case and strive to prove that a driver was inebriated at the time of an accident. Often drunk drivers habitually drive while intoxicated and cause multiple car accidents before they are finally taken off of our local streets. A thorough investigation of a drunk driver often includes looking into the driver's driving record and criminal history.

It is unclear if the Miss USA 2010 winner has a history of drunk driving or whether she will fight her charges. Fortunately a police officer was able to stop her car and arrest her before she maimed anyone. We will discuss further details of this drunk driving case in tomorrow's post.
