## Toddler, 3 others injured in Nashville head-on collision
Being out on the road in Nashville can be treacherous if one of the fellow motorists is behaving irresponsibly. A negligent driver can be just as, if not more, dangerous than a driver who is reckless or under the influence. The dangers of being in an [auto accident](https://news.bartdurham.com/Automobile-Accidents/Car-Accidents/index.html) are well-known with the possibility of severe injury and death resulting. Those who are hurt in an accident need to realize what they're facing and that they might need legal assistance in the aftermath.
An accident involving three vehicles injured a 3-year-old child and three others. The accident investigation found that a drowsy driver spurred the sequence of events. A black vehicle was heading south on the road when it went across the double line and into the path of traffic heading north. It side-swiped one vehicle and then had a head-on collision with another. The driver told law enforcement that he was tired from having worked overnight and fell asleep at the wheel. One of the people who was injured is said to be hurt seriously, but none of the injuries are believed to be life-threatening.
When there is a crash, it is likely that there will be medical costs and possible lost time at work for those who were hurt. When there is a young person injured, it can affect them for their entire lives as well as the lives of their parents. Considering everything that can happen due to an accident and that insurance companies' main focus is to keep costs in line, it's important to have legal advice before accepting a settlement in lieu of litigation.
With this accident, the driver who sparked it told police that he had dozed off while driving and crossed the center line hitting two other vehicles. With the injuries and damage to property that happened in the series of accidents, those who were affected should protect their interests and discuss the matter with an experienced legal professional.
