2018 may have just started, but some new auto models are already being recalled for serious safety hazards. It's important for those who have purchased these cars to know the risks they face.
For instance, the 2018 Audi A5, which is made by Volkswagen, is being recalled. There is a risk that the air bag may not work property and could fail to deploy in an accident. The result could be serious injury or even death.
Alfa Romeo is facing a pair of recalls, both for the same issue with their braking systems. The brake fluid itself may be contaminated, which could impact braking ability. The two models being recalled are the Giulia and the Stelvio.
Toyota is facing a number of recalls that appear to be more minor, but which could still present problems. They did not put the right load information on vehicle labels. Models impacted include the Lexus GX460, the Highlander, the 4Runner, the Sienna, the Rav4, the Tundra and the Tacoma.
Even those driving more high-end vehicles cannot escape the latest round of recalls. Two different Maserati models are being recalled because fuel may be able to leak out inside the engine compartment. Models included are the Ghibli and the Quattroporte, both for the 2018 model year.
Have you been injured in a car accident that you believe was caused by a defective vehicle? Perhaps it happened before a recall was issued, or maybe you think the company even tried to cover up the issues to avoid the recall entirely. If so, you must know all of the legal options you have to seek financial compensation.
