A 6-year-old boy was killed and his mother badly injured in a recent Tennessee traffic accident. The boy's 5-year-old brother was also in the car but was not seriously hurt.
According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, the boy's mother was driving north on Old Hillsboro Road in Williamson County when a driver heading south apparently lost control of his Ford Ranger and collided with the mother's Ford Escape. Her vehicle plunged down a steep embankment and landed upside-down.
The 6-year-old later died from his injuries. The mother was reportedly hospitalized with a broken pelvis. The 5-year-old did not receive serious injuries. Several businesses in Nashville and other Tennessee locations have begun taking donations to help the family with medical expenses.
