Makers of transvaginal mesh products facing lawsuit

When a person in Nashville or anywhere else suffers a medical condition he or she just wants to find a solution that will help resolve his or her problem. However, sometimes doctors or other medical professionals make mistakes in their treatment. Other times, companies who manufacture medical devices get them wrong. When this happens the patient is often the one who ends up paying the price for these mistakes.

Two companies who manufacture medical devices to help women who suffer from urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse are facing a lawsuit by a woman who claims she suffered serious health problems due to the use of these devices. American Medical Systems and Boston Scientific have both been named as defendants in the lawsuit.

Reportedly it is now widely known in the industry that these devices are not safe and in fact they can cause many different health problems to patients after being surgically inserted. The woman claims that both of the companies were aware of the risks of these products when she received them. However, she claims that those risks were never explained to her before they were implanted in her body.

Anyone who thinks that they have been injured or harmed by a defective medical product or because of an unsafe product, it may be a good idea for that person to speak with a good medical malpractice attorney. He or she can help one understand what legal ramifications are involved and whether or not someone should be held legally responsible.
