A multi-vehicle accident occurred recently in South Nashville, Tennessee involving a tractor trailer, a truck and a school bus. The accident occurred near Fesslers Lane on the westbound side of Interstate 40. The tractor trailer crash brought five ambulances to the scene to treat the vehicle occupants' injuries.

A spokesperson from the school stated that there were nine students in the bus at the time of the accident. Two people were injured; however, all of the students in the school bus were taken to the local hospital as a precautionary measure. The two children injured in the school bus were aged 10 to 13 years and are said to be in a stable condition. According to the doctor from the children's hospital, the children suffered bumps, bruises and a lot of soft tissue injuries.

According to reports, it is believed that the truck was the cause of the accident, which is owned by Midwest Transportation. The owner of the transport company rushed to the scene after hearing of the crash. Another truck had stopped and the driver of the second truck collided with the stopped truck. At that point, the second truck was hit by a tractor trailer and the school bus crashed into the tractor trailer.

The school indicated that it will be conducting safety investigations to find more answers.

Accidents often result in serious injuries and even in fatalities; leading to physical and emotional pain for the accident victims as well as their family members. Although monetary loss and medical costs can be claimed through the insurers of the driver at fault, the loss that the family suffers after losing a loved one during an accident cannot be compensated.
