Troubled actress Lindsey Lohan has been accused of hitting a pedestrian and speeding away from a nightclub early Wednesday morning. Ms. Lohan has faced near constant legal problems, and this accident likely violates her probation. In addition to criminal charges, Ms. Lohan could also face a personal injury lawsuit for any injuries she caused.

A hit-and-run car accident can cause substantial injuries. Drivers who fail to stay on the scene are generally considered negligent and face serious criminal charges if any injuries result. In this case, it is not known whether or not Ms. Lohan caused any injuries.

The alleged victim was the manager of a nightclub next door to the one that Ms. Lohan had been hanging out at that evening. Police reports indicate that she "grazed" him when she was trying to get out of the parking lot. The man has said that he intends to press charges against the actress. It is not known whether or not he will pursue a civil action for damages in addition to proceeding with the criminal case.

Ms. Lohan has not commented on the accident at this time. She has a history of other driving-related problems, including a DUI. She is also dealing with a shoplifting charge.

Victims who are hit by cars can recover for any injuries that they incur to help pay for medical bills and time away from work. They may also be able to get compensation from the driver for the pain and suffering that results from the accident.
